It all started out in the field. And not the field you’re thinking. It was the goddamn practice field where they should have been safe. It wasn’t. Everything had been going according to plan until it happened. A live grenade had been let loose on the field and Ryan Knox had gotten caught in the cross fire. With his left leg amputated, his right at risk of the same fate and severe scarring and nerve damage to his entire left side and back, Knox faced years of rehabilitation and a future without walking. Or he did, until Aldrich Killian approached him with an offer.
